Kathleen Schietroma

Dr. Kathleen Schietroma established ShearSpire, Inc. in 2000. She designs customized business-to-business (B2B) primary research studies and has completed over 1,500 in-depth interviews with executives, business and medical professionals, technologists, and government officials. She is a veteran of several successful business unit start-ups. She has conducted domestic and international research on behalf of companies in the middle market and the Fortune 500.

Prior to 2000, Dr. Schietroma established and developed the Project Management Institute (PMI) brand of corporate education programs. PMI is the global business management association for project management standards and techniques used extensively in software product and information system development and many other fields. To expand the brand, Dr. Schietroma conducted developmental in-depth interviews with subject matter experts, corporate executives, and management in a variety of industries, including information technology, telecommunications, finance, engineering, energy, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals.

During eight years in the healthcare industry, Dr. Schietroma worked closely with physicians, thought leaders, pharmaceutical product managers, regulatory agencies, and standards organizations. She produced and marketed accredited professional development programs at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and founded an institute at FCG International, a medical communications company.

Her education includes undergraduate degrees from Johns Hopkins University, a doctorate in music, and a number of doctoral courtesy M.B.A. courses, with an emphasis in marketing, at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
